Former McLaren Mercedes manager Jo Ramirez believes it will be Massa who will fight with Alonso and not Kimi Raikkonen: “Felipe is improving massively and in the end he can reveal himself to be more performing than Kimi.” He tips Alonso to be the favorite, who is now confident in the car:“The first time Fernando tested for the team he was perplexed, while now he is enthusiastic”. Ramirez emphasisez McLaren’s new rich sponsors as a big advantage. He also notices the “enormous steps forward” taken by BMW, while he is being rather critical of Renault.
