While everyone was kept puzzled by Hamilton’s crash - right until the end of qualifying when the good news were announced- Kimi Raikkonen did not spent time thinking about Lewis and went to qualify fastest. Alonso, while only fortunate not to have the same problem Lewis had, only managed 2nd position. Massa completed the top 3 for Ferrari, while the two BMWs followed him. Lewis will start in 10th spot if he is cleared to race, since McLaren decided not to change his engine.
