Porsche is not interested in F1

Porsche

Although there have been German media rumours that Porsche is set to enter Formula 1, the Porsche’s head of motorsport Hartmut Kristen has firmly stated this: “Motorsport for us [Porsche] does not have a purely self-interested purpose. Rather, we want to satisfy the demands of our customers“.

To be honest - I’d love to see Porsche around in F1! Am I the only Porsche fan here?

  1. No, you’re not the only one! Could be really nice Porsche in F1!

  2. This is an issue that goes back a long way. An issue that the great Majority of the World does not know. After nuremberg, F1 was officially moved to England and became sanctioned and financed by the Bank Of England and Opec. In 1947, when F1 took off financially, Porsche applied for a license while offering much criticism of the “newly accepted formula”. Porsche claimed the formula was “long in tooth” and that it created an unfair advantage for “larger rear mounts”. Porsche claimed this was done deliberately to “create a false impression of power and performance”. In essence, Porsche was saying that Italian, English and American designs were aerodynamically inferior to the performance witnessed by its own Cabrio design. A notion long held and supported by Mercedes, VW and Japanese manufacturers as a whole. Porsche has always believed that creating as much down force as possible on a race car that should naturally have a much wider rear, short length, extreme low point and virtually no nose, creates an aerodynamically perfect race car instead of a “pretty one that is only concerned with overall top speed and no consideration for real world conditions such as rapid turns, deep banks, and steep up hills”.

Judging by Porsche’s own Tour record, they are absolutely right. When it comes to handling, braking and powering out of turns while maintaining control and precision, is it of any surprise that Porsche shames its over priced italian rivals in performance; Namely Ferrari and Lamborghini? Porsche has monopolized the tour circuit with what is widely accepted as “unbreakable” records that include:

    (1) A first-second-third place single race win. 18 times!

    (2) A first-Second-Third place point rank in the the same year!

    (3) A back-to-back double dynasty championship.

    (4) A 4 year dynasty, 3 year dynasties 2 times, 2 year dynasties 2 times

    (5) Most championships by any car manufacturer. Nearly 30 championships in over 40 years! That’s a 90% win ratio!

Porsche has for years claimed that “the twins” (A derogatory name Porsche uses in reference to Ferrari and Lamborghini) are overpriced, pretty look-alikes that are purchased by:

    (1) The status buyer

    (2) The status buyer that buys them for his not as pretty [As the actual car] wife

    (3) Those that don’t know what the essence of a pure sports car is.

    (4) Making a mid mounted long box with an unjustifiable price tag is easy. We don’t do it because we tried before and our customers found it undesirable and two, it makes a bad sports car.

Porsche has issued what is considered to be racially insensitive comments about Ferrari, Fiat and Lamborghini such as:

    (1) The italians make their cars like they do everything else: Pretty yet impractical and utterly useless.

    (2) They design their cars with their woman in mind: Pretty, expensive, a burden to maintain, useless after just a few years and holding no value beyond looks. OUCH!

    (3) Their cars are Feminine and cute. Just like the men that create them! (OUCH! OUCH!)

The committee (then sanctioned by 32 members, 22 being Jewish/English, 5 italians and 5 Germans) denied Porsche’s Application. When Porsche threatened with publicity, the sanctioning body told Porsche that it would “vigorously pursue a campaign of truth”, by informing the public that as a company, Porsche was directly involved in the financial support of the Holocaust of the Jews at the Hands of Hitler. Porsche backed away and has applied only two times since then. The committee accepted one of their applications in the 60’s with the hopes to burden them with limitations. They knew that Porsche would struggle in coming to terms with a long body mid-mount. They were right. Porsche struggled greatly and lost greatly. They finally pulled the plug on single seat for good. Or so it seemed. Porsche suffered humiliation and were left with sore fannies. Having to eat ones own words in not a pleasant experience. It was agreed by the UN and FDR that so long as Porsche does not apply for an F1 license anymore, they would keep things hush-hush while indirectly financing them with their R&D and concepts. But things are no longer being kept hush-hush. Just recently, things have gotten nastier then ever. Ferrari and Lamborghini both fired back with their own nasty comments. Here is some of the things they have said:

Ferrari: What the hell are they (Porsche) so upset about. Their is enough consumers to go around for all of us! If they really had what it takes to enter F1, they would have done it long ago.

Lambo: Porsche should be happy with where they are. They don’t belong with the big boys.

Ferrari: If Porsche wants to join F1, we would welcome them in, take them under our wing, show them how to make a race car and show them what it takes to win real championships with a real race car.

Lambo: There’s Porsche performance, then there is us. But Porsche is a great baby step to a much better and grown up driving experience.

Lambo: Porsche doesn’t make a proper, mid-mounted long body simply because they can’t. They tried and failed!

WOW! Both sides are clearly dirty! But in the interest of reason, logic, truth and critical thinking, Lambo and Ferrari are full of shit! They talk. Porsche performs. They use illogical arguments and fallacies to trump themselves up, yet Porsche dominates both Ferrari and Lamborghini in Tour. Lambo is a sad “also ran” at best. As for Ferrari, Porsche pounded hem into submission in 2005 ( I think 2005) They no longer compete in tour. I guess they can’t handle monopolies well if its not their own. Makes you wonder whether or not we are getting our moneys worth with F1 when a clearly superior Race Car maker is prevented from entering due to fear alone!

F1 knows well, that if Porsche were allowed entry into F1 with their most recent blue prints, they would monopolize it with ease. Few people have seen the blue prints given by Porsche to F1 when submitting their application. They are mostly Porsche insiders. Other former F1 committee members have said that if Porsche were accepted, it would instantaneously change the face of F1 racing forever. The shape of the cars would change, they would need fewer pit stops for fuel and tires and would burn less fuel. All of which would have adverse financial affects on the sport. Good reasons to deny porsche? Pssh! Just imagine what would happen to Ferrari and Lamborghini sales if Porsche were to enter F1 and win in it’s first year and continue to dominate throughout? OUCH OUCH OUCH!

Porsche got the last laugh when they took Lamborghini’s comments about them not being able to produce a long body mid-mount seriously by delivering the coveted Carrera GT. A Long body mid-mount that would easily devour the Murcielago and Enzo. Both of which are much higher in price.

  3. I knew the history of Porsche during WW2. I find it hypocritical of people to slam Germans and Hitler what happen during WW2, and go about driving a Porsche. Ferninad engineered the ovens at the heath camps, but that’s ok! He’s a good person still, due to making the Volkswagan and I love how Jerry SeinFeld makes fun of certain people, but built a 20 million garage, to house his Porsche collection in Mannhatten. Talk about people not knowing the truth.
