Here is the epical last lap battle between Massa and Kubica in Japan.

Following the conclusion to the spy scandal, which saw McLaren stripped of their points in the Constructors’ Championship points and a $100 million fine, the race at Spa Francorchamps was again set to be a battle between Ferrari and McLaren.

Max Mosley recently said Alonso had threatened Ron Dennis about telling the FIA about the email exchange with Dela Rosa. With this new piece of evidence, McLaren were stripped of their Constructors’ Championship points and recieved a $100m fine at the last FIA Council reunion in Paris. 2007 F1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza torrent

MONZA, September 8th 2007 - McLaren dominate Qualifying for the Grand Prix of Italy. Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton will be in the first line of tomorrow’s starting grid at Monza. The Spaniard who took pole position was quick in all sessions. Problems for Ferrari - 3rd for Felipe Massa, 5th for Kimi Raikkonen. 4th place for Heidfeld (BMW).

MONTEZEMOLO STILL HOPING - Ferrari president Luca Montezemolo was slightly disappointed. “It wasn’t a great result but I had been told that here wed had had some problems - he said -. We hope to be better off tomorrow - it will be a long race. All year long, Ferrari has proved a great force in the race more than in qualifying. We hope it will go better [in the race].” Montezemolo then speaks of the World Council reunion of the FIA taking place at Paris this Thursday to discuss the McLaren-Ferrari spy story. “This is an ugly story, we are taking act of this reunion. Kimi Raikkonen suffered a brutal crash in Saturday practice for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Here are the images:

While Kimi Raikkonen managed the fastest lap in the first practice session (1:22.446), it was Fernando Alonso which clocked a 1:22.386 lap in the second session, just half a tenth quicker than Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen in the morning. Lewis Hamilton was third in the first session (2 tenths adrift from Kimi). In the second session he took second place, eight tenths off his teammate. Renault’s Giancarlo Fisichella was third in the afternoon practice after being seventh in the first one.

In the Istanbul qualifying session, the Brazilian from Ferrari set the fastest time ahead of Hamilton. Raikkonen was third, then Alonso, who spoke about his problems at Woking. “I didn’t receive the credit for the six tenths that I brought with me to the team”

ISTANBUL (Turkey), 25 agosto 2007 - Felipe Massa took pole position of the GP of Turkey in his Ferrari, lapping in 1′27″329. Lewis Hamilton, the current leader of the World Championship was second. The second row of the grid is taken by the other Ferrari of Raikkonen and the second McLaren of Alonso.

BALANCE - The qualifyin sessions were lovely and very balanced. Massa took pole from Lewis by just 44 thousandths of a second. Raikkonen made a small mistake which saw him remain 2 tenths behind his teammate. Behind Alonso, the lonely BMWs of Kubica and Heidfeld. Seventh time for Kovalainen’s Renault, while Nico Rosberg was eighth.

ALONSO’S DOUBTS - This morning, Alonso confirmed his doubt regarding his future at McLaren. The Spaniard said “I don’t have problems with Hamilton and he doesn’t have problems with me. Logically, we aren’t best friends but we respect each other”

CONSIDERTION - What bothers Fernando is something else, the lack of consideration for what he thinks to have brought to the team these months: “I remember - he said for Reuters - when in December I first drove the car and how it was in Australia (the first race). Those six tenths which I brought signified nothing when I found myself fighting with Lewis. This is the main reason why I am in a conflict with the team. However, who doesn’t have problems with his employer?”
