Michael Schumacher has proved he remains the fastest man in F1. After topping the timesheets on Tuesday, after a 13 month break, he continued to set the pace today, beating McLaren’s Pedro De la Rosa by 0.4 seconds.

Michael Schumacher will test for two days at Barcelona next week. A Ferrari spokesman said it will be half for pleasure and half for technical reasons. Sources say Schumacher, despite earlier saying he did not want to climb aboard an F1 car, was convinced by Jean Todt. He will bring his experience of driving without traction control and electronics to the table. People have already started betting on what his times will be. However, Ferrari is thought to leave the 7 times World Champion without a transponder, therefore rendering his future laptimes confidential.
Formula One proved to its fans it can deliver lots and lots of excitement, adrenaline and fun. To have the drivers F1 championship decided in the last race, in Brazil, says a lot.

Hear what Mika Häkkinen had to say about the McLaren driver line up for next year.
-It’s very unlikely that Alonso would continue with McLaren for next year.
-Only Nico is the kind of driver who could be a good team-mate for Lewis in many ways and a good driver for McLaren.
-Nico has a contract with Williams and the question is how much money it would take to get him out of it, but that’s the team principals problem to negotiate.
So you think that Nico will drive for McLaren in next year?
-It is very likely, yes.
Source is MTV3, just saw him saying it on our sport news broadcast.
