No hopes for Hakkinen returning to F1

Similarly to his former rival, Michael Schumcher, Finnish driver Mika Hakkinen declared he has no intention of ever returning to F1 (as a driver).
Mika was linked to Williams and BAR for a return to F1 a few years ago. He also tested a McLaren during the winter so rumors started pouring in on Mika’s future tests with McLaren and eventually a return to F1 racing.
His Finnish fans were left with little hope of seing their idol return to F1 after Mika’s recent comment. While training at a Mallorca based fitness camp, for this year’s DTM series, he said about Formula One: “There is nothing that could motivate me to return. With my two titles, I have reached in Formula One everything there is to reach.”
The faith is thus sealed. Two great champions are gone from F1 for good : Hakkinen and Schumacher. However, with the rise of new talents like Alonso, Raikkonen, Massa, Kubica, Hamilton and so on, F1 is set to remain a very interesting sport.
