New Ferrari aero for the French GP

Following last week’s Silverstone test, Ferrari brought some interesting upgrades in France which saw them secure Pole position. Here is a video in Italian describing the new Ferrari aero parts:

The constant process of improvement of the F2007 brings a new wave of aerodynamic updates. The nose that has a better aerodynamic load (more downforce), loses its old second element in favor of a larger and more inclined element (profile). This configuration increases the level of downforce available. The integration of a new deflector - directly attached to the chassis - placed inside the suspension triangle corrects the air flow passing, helping minimize turbulence.

At the rear of the car, the elimination of the old rear wing profiles and the integration of a new configuration increases the downforce that acts directly on the rear wing, resulting in better conditions for the traction. The adoption of two symmetrical winglets in front of the cockpit allows for precision controlling of the air flow to reduce the flow disruptions caused by the radiators and to improve internal aerodynamics, improving the engine, gearbox and transmission cooling.
