McLaren’s cooling system details
McLaren developed a sophisticated cooling system which defines a perfect channelization of air inside the side ducts to cool radiators, exhausts and the transmission-gearbox group. The air is then expelled on the high part of the diffuser. The fluid dynamics of the car (the air package), associated to the tight packaging of the sidepods allows a better exploiting of the flows. This way an optimal thermic exchange is obtained, assuring less stressful working conditions for the engine.
The upper radiators have vertical positions, while the lower ones are inclined to an angle of 45 degrees. This cooling systems works selectively (in a separate way) on the engine hydraulic system and the lubricating oil. The asymmetric sidepod configuration means that only on the right side there is a supplemental air exhaust box (gills?) which maximizes the extraction of the hot [air] flows from the radiators.

Where do you find all these? These are awesome! Good work!
