Ferrari take 1-2 in the 2007 French GP

Ferrari fans must be delighted to see Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa finish first and second at Magny Cours. Hamilton made his first mistake this season at the start, where he lost 2nd position to Ferrari’s Raikkonen, but Lewis still went on to finish third. Great drive from BMW’s Rober Kubica, coming home in 4th. Heidfeld held Alonso at bay for most of the race and managed to finish 5th. Behing him it was Fisichella and struggling Fernando Alonso. Alonso made several passes this race but he only managed a disappointing 7th place.

It will be interesting to see if Ferrari can carry on their advantage over McLaren in a week’s time at Silverstone.
