Ferrari CEO Jean Todt has recently said Ferrari never spoke with Alonso to replace Michael Schumacher. He diplomatically added both Alonso and Kimi were at the same level, but he felt Kimi fitted more with Ferrari’s style. Alonso was, however, close to reaching Ferrari a few years before, as a test driver.
