Ferrari close Friday French Practice on top
Alonso off:
Ferrari continued to set the pace throughout the second Practice session as well. Only this time it wasn’t only the factory Ferraris. It was also the Ferrari - equipped Toro Rosso -s, who were 3rd and 4th for most of the session. In the end it was Hamilton who split the two Toro Rosso -s, taking 4th position.
The session was an odd one: both Ferrari drivers spun while Alonso had a short offtrack. Out of the top drivers, only Hamilton managed to improve his time in the second session. In the end, the time sheets showed Felipe Massa on top, marginally followed by Kimi Raikkonen, Scott Speed, Lewis Hamilton and Vitantonio Liuzzi.
