Bild: Does Schumi already regret his decision?

Michael Schumacher (38) experienced the Australian victory of Ferrari and his successor Kimi Raikkoenen (27) in Switzerland, on TV. Ex-Formula 1 star, Hans Joachim Stuck (56) expressed for German newspaper Bild Zeitung what many Schumi fans are thinking at the moment: “if Michael sees the ease with which Kimi Raikkonen won in his Ferrari, then he will automatically imagine: I could have also celebrated this triumph. As a genuine racer you simply think that way! […] If Raikkoenen and Massa are in the spotlight now, then everything would be the same for Michael!”
It is clear: The new super-Ferrari dominates the Formula 1 at the moment! That is also due to Schumi’s work for many years on developing Ferrari as a team. Raikkoenen admitted after the race: “I did not have to push all the way to the finish.”
In addition to this, BMW F1 driver Nick Heidfeld believes Ferrari has a substantial advantage from working with Bridgestone for so many years.
Did Schumi say good-bye too early? Schumi is by no means too old!
It is easy for people to think “with this Ferrari [car] Schumi could have easily reached the 100 wins mark as well as his 8th World Drivers Championship title”. Those who know Schumi, however, give the fans very little hope for a comeback.
Michael’s manager and friend Willi Webber: “The fact is that Ferrari doesn’t have serious competitors at all this season. Clearly, Michael could have become again world champion there. But he does not want that any more. He is very, very happy with its new life.”
