Alonso: With Schumacher it was becoming monotonous
As far as Michael Schumacher is concerned, Fernando Alonso does not have any traces of nostalgia: “He was present for 15 years in F1 and, personally,I do not miss him” - said the Asturian - “sure, to fight against him was not unpleasant, and we had fun battles on track, but in this moment, there are Massa, Raikkonen and Hamilton to focus on and with Michael, we had arrived at a point in which it all seemed monotonous”.

I like your use of the word “Asturian” to describe Mr Alonso.Schumacher wasn’t much of a nostalgia-ist himself;he had no interest in F1 history. This is just another trait of a multiple champion.

Yeah, it was getting monotonous, him winning that much and all… you know, when you don’t get the chance of winning, it gets monotonous.
